I'm always the first to hear the complaints.
Goose me if you've heard this one.......I doubt it!!
A mom calls and tells me how much her son loves recess. It seems that the recess aides have been playing organized games with the kindergarten kids. She tells me how much her son loves to play the games, and his absolute favorite is Duck, Duck, Goose.
"Wow, I'm glad your son is having so much fun." I reply.
"Well", says Mom, "I do have an issue with this."
Of course she does. Otherwise I wouldn't be speaking with her!
Mom says," My concern is that the children are outside for 20 minutes of recess. What if my son spends his whole recess sitting in the circle waiting to get goosed and it never happens? Everyone should get goosed equally. I need to be sure my son is going to get goosed."
Because, every good mother worries about how often their kids get goosed.
.....You can't make this stuff up.

I'm torn. On the one hand, this mom is certainly involved and concerned for her son. On the other hand, it's effing duck, duck, goose. How is she going to feel when he tries out for a school sport?
laughing at pissed in NYC's comment
I was a little league football coach - first female!! for the league - and I had so many parents making "concerned requests" = my favorite was the Mom who wanted her son to catch more touchdowns - he was on defense!
GMB....You know being a concerned parent is a good thing but duck, duck, goose? C'mon really lets worry about important things.
Dianne.... When Ricky D Awesome and Zeb were little they played pee wee football. You must have heard it all because I remember what the football parents were like. None of them were ever happy unless their son was the star player.
I tagged you with two memes! Have fun!
Hi Skippy, I'm happy to found your skippyland...see you soon :)
I was goosed one time too many when I was a child. That's what is wrong with me now. I have been able to do the Hokey Pokey without supervision since that horrible time in my childhood. The mother in this story should be glad if her child does not get goosed.
